King's Barton signs up to Gas Tag
A Bristol-based housing association has partnered with Gas Tag, an innovative technology company, to manage its gas compliance.
King’s Barton provides quality rented housing for people aged 55 years and above across Kingswood, Staple Hill and Downend. The association, which celebrated its 50th-anniversary last year, has signed to use Gas Tag’s revolutionary software as part of its commitment to providing quality homes that meet the best possible standards.
All landlords across the UK are legally required to carry out annual gas safety checks but the current model is is paper-based and time-consuming. Gas Tag technology will support King’s Barton and its contractor to transform their current process and gain real-time insight into work being carried out.
Steve Rafferty, Housing Manager at King’s Barton, said: “We are delighted to be working with Gas Tag to provide safe and compliant homes for our residents.
“One of the key benefits of the Gas Tag platform is that the technology is completely adaptable and scalable. This means that a smaller association with smaller staff resources can access the same level of insight as the larger provides in the sector.
“We are managed by a Board of Management and four part-time staff so having a system such as Gas Tag gives us more control over our compliance than ever before.”
Matt Stephenson, Business Development Manager, at Gas Tag said: “I am delighted that King’s Barton has decided to partner with us to manage their gas compliance.
“It was clear from our early conversations that King’s Barton wanted a product that could help manage their compliance to a high standard with a small team. Our product allows King’s Barton to get a complete overview of its compliance status from an easy to use the portal, with all information fed back in real-time.
“I am looking forward to supporting King’s Barton to provide safe homes for its residents.”
